- The Playing Field:
- The bases will be 45 feet apart.
- The front of the Pitching Plate will be 45 feet from front of home plate.
- Right and Left fields will be 100 feet from the outside corner of home plate.
- Equipment
- Official Wiffle Balls will be used and provided by Faith Chapel Ministries
- No ball modifications will be permitted.
- Official Wiffle Ball Bats will be used and will be provided by Faith Chapel Ministries.
- Players will be permitted to use their own bats, but the bat must be an official waffle ball bat.
- If there is a hole in the bottom of the bat, it must be kept open.
- Tape is permitted only on the handle.
- Closed Toe Footwear must be worn.
- Cleats are permitted, metal cleats are not permitted.
- Gloves are not permitted in the field.
- Hats are not permitted to catch the ball.
- PENALTY 2-6: Batter-Runner safe at first, all other runners advance one base
- Uniforms
- Tournament issued shirt required
- No numbers are required on uniform
- Teams
- Teams may have between 5 and 7 people.
- Teams may be men only, women only, or any combination of both.
- Teams can play 6 players in the field: a pitcher, a catcher, and four fielders.
- Substitutions will be free and unlimited through all the games.
- Batting lineup must consist of everyone on your team who is present.
- A lineup card must be presented prior to each game.
- The lineup card will be provided to each team captain.
- The lineup card will not be altered during the game.
- The lineup is permitted to be different for each game.
- If a player is expected to be late then they should be added at the beginning of the game to any spot in the lineup and the tournament director should be made aware and must initial next to the player expected to be late. There is no penalty if the player who is expected to be late is skipped over in the batting order, and the batting order remains in order.
- Once the player is on the premises, they are required to bat or be called out.
- If the player is late and the tournament director was not notified and the player is in the batting order, then the player will be out, and the batting order remains in order.
- A player may be added to the lineup at the end of the batting order at any point during the game, as long as they were on the registered players list, or if the team received special permission from the tournament director in writing.
- A lineup card must be presented prior to each game.
- Teams may have between 5 and 7 people.
- Gameplay
- Games will start at the listed time or 15 minutes after the final out from the previous game.
- The Home team will be the team listed at the bottom of the bracket in both pool play and tournament play
- The final two rounds of the tournament (final four and championship games) will not have a time limit.
- Tournament games will have a time limit of 70 minutes from the time the game was supposed to start according to Rule 5-1, pool play games will have a 60 minute time limit from the time the game was supposed to start according to Rule 5-1.
- There will be 15 minutes between games.
- Teams will have five minutes to clear the field following the final out of their game.
- Teams can take the field ten minutes prior to their scheduled game time.
- A mercy rule applies as follows:
- 15 runs after 3 innings (2.5 if the home team is winning).
- 10 runs after 4 innings (3.5 if the home team is winning).
- Tournament games will be 6 innings, pool play games will be 5 innings.
- Tie Breaker Rules:
- Games can end in a tie in pool play.
- In tournament play, no game may end in a tie.
- If a game is tied after 6 innings or after the 70 minute time limit has been reached, then one additional inning will be played. Teams will start with the bases loaded and no outs. This process will be repeated as necessary.
- Outs:
- 3 outs per team per inning.
- Count:
- 4 balls is a walk, 3 strikes is an out, unlimited fouls.
- Strike Zone:
- A strike zone will be used that is approximately 31" high and 24" wide.
- The bottom of the strike zone will be approximately at the knees.
- Any pitch that hits the strike zone without touching the ground is a strike.
- Any pitch that does not hit the strike zone is a ball.
- Any pitch that hits the batter is a ball.
- This includes the hands.
- If the batter swings, a hit batter is a strike.
- There are no balks.
- The pitcher must have one foot in contact with the pitching rubber at the time the pitch is released.
- Base Running:
- Batters must run the bases to be safe after contact.
- Runners hit by a thrown ball that has not touched the ground are out.
- Runners who are hit by a batted ball, regardless of the ball hitting the ground, are out.
- No leading off.
- No stealing.
- Tagging up is legal.
- There is no infield fly rule.
- No bunting permitted.
- Any ball hit in "fair play" is in play.
- A ball caught in the air is an out.
- Batter and Runner
- Switch hitting:
- A batter may switch sides at any time in the count, but must notify the pitcher, and cannot do it in the delivery.
- PENALTY 6-1-1: Strike on Batter.

- Batter's Interference:
- A legally positioned batter does not have to move out of the path of the pitch, but if the batter leans into the pitch to interfere with a strike, and the ball contacts the batter, then a strike will be called.
- Hit by pitch:
- A legal hit by pitch is a ball.
- The batter's hands are NOT part of the bat.
- A ball that hits the batter's hands will be a hit by pitch, and will be called a ball.
- EXCEPTION 6-4-1: If the batter offers at the pitch, the pitch will be called a strike.
- A ball that hits the batter's hands will be a hit by pitch, and will be called a ball.
- Batting gloves may be worn by the offensive team only.
- It is illegal for a runner to interfere with a play, as determined by the umpire.
- Switch hitting:
- Pitchers and Fielders
- The pitcher may not wear long sleeve white shirts.
- There are no balks.
- The pitcher will get 10 warm up pitches prior to the first inning and 7 warm up pitches.
- A mid-count relief pitcher is permitted.
- It is illegal for a fielder to obstruct a runner, as determined by the umpire.
- Officiating and Score Keeping
- Umpires will be provided.
- Any issue which arises that is not directly addressed in the rules will be determined by the umpire.
- Judgements by umpire are final.
- The score will be kept by the umpire.
- Protests
- Protests are only permitted with regard to facts involving application or misapplication of the rules, and not judgement.
- Protests must be brought to the umpire who will then bring the protest immediately to the tournament director who will rule on the decision.
- Base awards, runs, and outs will be determined as necessary by the tournament director and umpire.
