![]() [Genesis 10:8] "Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth." Nimrod was rebellious against God, just like those before him. He encouraged his people to rely on themselves and not God. During his time, Nimrod was determined to build a gigantic tower as a symbol of power known as the Tower of Babel. However, construction ended when the Lord confused the languages of the people, making it impossible for them to communicate and finish the tower. So, Nimrod was proven wrong—all of man’s strength and ability, even the strength of the mightiest of men, is a gift from God that He can choose to revoke at any time. This week, allow your strength to come from the one source that will never fail: Jesus Christ!
