[John 3:16] "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

John 3:16 is likely the best known verse in all the Bible.  Martin Luther called the verse the miniature gospel.  The verse perfectly summarizes God’s relationship with humanity, the path to salvation, and the ultimate display of love.

The term “loved” translates the Greek verb "agapao". The noun form agape is not an emotional love. It is the love which acts out of concern for others and is genuine.  It is an unconditional love that serves regardless of circumstances.  In a world that tries to make love into everything it's not, we have the conclusive answer found in scripture.  This week, encourage those around you with the love found in John 3:16!
